Veteran Genge Musician Jua Cali Narrates How He Met Wife Lilly Asigo

Popular Genge musician Paul Julius Nunda alias Jua Cali has narrated how he met his better half, Lilly Asigo.

In an unfettered interview with a local publication, the singer stated that Lilly was a loyal fan of his music before an upgrade to wifey.

Lilly had mugged up lyrics of Jua Cali songs and could sing line to line, and one day, she attended a show where Jua Cali was performing, and that is where they first met.

“I met her at an event in City Hall…I was performing. It was a students’ event, and she was somewhere I could spot her in a black dress.

“I would perform and look at her. She was singing all the lyrics in every song. I was impressed, she came backstage, and we talked…exchanged numbers, and the rest is history. She had been invited by her friend who was in that college,” Jua Cali recalled.

The musician heaped praise to her woman, noting that she is very understanding and had come to terms with Jua Cali’s lifestyle as an artist. This made the singer convinced that Lilly was the right life partner.

“She was a clever girl…after knowing her and the family. My wife understood me as an artist, she understood my lifestyle. The moment I saw that, it was easy for me. We had no problems…and that is how I knew she is the one,” he said.
