DAILY POST: VIOLET KEMUNTO, the Al-Shabaab woman behind the Dusit terror attack that left 21 people dead, is hiding in El Adde-DCI KINOTI confirms News 02:05
Friday January 25, 2019-Wanted Al-Shabaab bride, Violet Kemunto Omwoyo, is hiding in El Adde, Southern-Western Somalia in Gedo region.
This was confirmed the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti, who said Kemunto slipped out of Kenya to Somalia a day before her husband, Ali Salim Gichunge, and other Al-Shabaab terrorists attacked DusitD2 complex, killing 21 people. “The woman is not in Kenya. The mobile signal is locating her in El Adde, Somalia,” said Kinoti. Kinoti also confirmed that they were following her and that she won’t escape this time around. “She can run, but she won’t hide,” said Kinoti. Kemunto is said to have escape to Somalia through El Wak in Mandera, a route that Al-Shabaab mostly use. “There is a route in El Wak which they routinely use. I will not be surprised if Kemunto used the same route in her escape,” said an officer based in Mandera. It must be noted that it is at El Adde that Al-Shabaab overrun a Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) camp and killed over 150 Kenyans soldiers three years ago.
