While Wanyama's father Noah Wanyama, played for Ingwe.
Both men represented the Kenya national team and were budding footballers.
And now their sons will face one another when Origi's Liverpool challenge Wanyama's Tottenham for the Champions League title in the final in Madrid Spain.
The spectacle leaves Kenyans feeling that they truly have a special place in the European club competition final owing to the presence of these two men carrying Kenyan football heritage on their shoulders.
Origi was phenomenal for Liverpool and netted an important brace to inspire liverpool's comeback while also scoring crucial league goals against Everton And newcastle despite limited playing time.
