The Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission Chief Executive Officer Twalib Mbarak is warning that the commission will not be intimidated by individuals or bodies in its fight against graft.
Mbarak has dismissed as unfortunate claims that some politicians and community were being targeted in the war on graft.
Mbarak made the remarks as a section of MPs defended investigative agencies saying they should be left to do their work.
A day after MPs allied to Deputy President William Ruto raised concerns over the manner corruption investigations were being handled, claiming the institutions were being used to block Ruto’s 2022 presidential bid, the EACC has declared it will not be intimidated.

EACC CEO Mbarak says the commission will not relent in the fight against corruption even involving high ranking officials.
According to Mbarak criticism being levied on anti-graft agencies by some politicians has no basis.
While the commission was committing to step up the war on graft, Nandi Hills Mp Alfred Keter and Cherangany Mp Joshua Kutuny hit out at their rift valley counterparts for allegedly intimidating the anti-graft agencies.
The two lawmakers want the investigative agencies to audit all stalled projects and take action on all culprits regardless of their status and position in government.
Similar sentiments were made by a section of NASA mps who maintain the ongoing war on graft is not targeting individuals or certain community
