Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has said the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) is under no pressure to form an Alliance with Azimio la Umoja movement affiliated to ODM leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking after a Wiper party National Executive Council meeting held in Nairobi, Kalonzo said One Kenya will not enter into a coalition with a non-registered political outfit.
The Wiper Party remained firm not to bow to pressure to seek other partnerships outside the One Kenya Alliance.
At its National Executive Council meeting, Kalonzo Musyoka was mandated to explore alliances with like-minded partners.
Their meeting comes days after OKA principals signed a working agreement set to be officially deposited with the Registrar of Political Parties on February 28, 2022.
On claims that the One Kenya Alliance (OKA) had placed conditions and irreducible minimums for it to join the Azimio La Umoja Movement, Kalonzo Musyoka said OKA is cautious not to enter into an agreement with an unregistered political outfit.
With April 9 being the deadline for coalition parties to deposit their agreements with the Registrar of Political Parties, the Wiper party maintains that such a move will only considered after sincere and transparent negotiations held in good faith.
