Homegirl titleholder Fatuma Iron Fist Zarika and Zambian challenger Catherine Phiri will be the main event of Nairobi Fight 2 on Saturday, March 23, and have promised Kenyans an epic ring battle.
The two fighters will face-off in their WBO World Boxing Council women Super bantamweight title bout as both made the cut during the weigh-in in Nairobi, on Friday, March 22.

Tipping the scales at 55kg each and avoiding the maximum allowed weight of 55.7kg, the Kenyan and Zambian will trade fists once again.
Zarika, 34, emerged victorious from the first fight back in December 2017, with a 3-0 unanimous decision going her way.

And now the fighters have vowed to go all out on each other in the highly anticipated encounter going down at the Kenyattta International Conference Centre KICC.
"I would like to thank my fans and I'm grateful you are all here. I'm great, there is no need to talk much, we can only go to the ring and do our talking there," Zarika confidently said.

It will be Zarika's third title defence in Nairobi, against the younger ambitious Zambian, 32, who is bidding to reclaim her WBC belt lost in Mexico and atone for her first loss to Zarika.

"Thank you so much to the Kenyan fans and I'm here for the second time. Last time, I said it;s going to be fire for fire and you so what happened. this time, this is going to be nuclear for nuclear.
"Do not come late because if you do, you might miss out on the action," the charged up Zambian roared.
Meanwhile, boxers from all four undercards highlight by the men Super Walterwieght showdown between Hassan Champez Mwkinyo and Argentine Serguo 'El tigre' Gonzalez, also made the weight.
