Next Rollout Phase
Nakuru won’t be the only town getting Zuku Fibre as other towns are getting it including Thika, Naivasha, Eldoret and Kisumu that are in the pipeline for the next rollout phase. “Though Kenya has a high mobile internet penetration, there is high demand for home broadband internet services because of Kenya’s growing data demand. Domestic data consumption is about 200 to 500 times than what is used on mobiles,” Mr Thomas Hintze, Wananchi Group Chief Executive Officer, speaking during the launch. Also in attendance was Mr Michael Dabaly, the company’s Chief Commercial Officer and Njeri Wakahiu, Wananchi Group Sales Development Manager.
