Even as the government tries to ensure that all the candidates who sat the KCPE exams in 2018 are fully absorbed in high schools many of them have still not taken their form one slots due to lack of school fees.

Samantha Wandera from Githunguri Ranch Primary School who scored 371 marks in her KCPE exams was set to join Moi Girls’ Eldoret but has not been able to report at the learning institution because  her father ran off after failing to raise the tuition fee.

Wandera’s case is not the only one, Mary Njoki from Mwiki Primary scored 280 but is still home at the moment because she lacks school fee.

I scored 280 marks but I’ve not been able to go to school because I’ve not found anyone to help me raise school fee. I live with my grand mother and she cannot raise the money at the moment, My mother is mentally ill so we have no one else to depend on.” Said Njoki

Angela Waitherero, a good Samaritan has been trying to help the two children but has not been successful and is now appealing for help from the public.

“Samatha’s dad has been missing since the results were released, she was raised by the dad after her mom ran away. We don’t know who else to turn to. Anyone willing to help can reach me on 0725790559 or the area chief on 0722254751” said Waitherero
