27 Drivers zoom off at KCB Kajiado Rally - KBC

The KCB Kajiado Rally is underway at the KCB Kajiado Branch in Kajiado County with 27 drivers are battling for top honors during the event.

This is the second round of the Kenya National Rally Championship series.

KCB Bank Kenya Regional Business Manager Nairobi Central Dorothy Rono flagged off Jasmeet Chana and Ravi Chana who are driving a Mitsubishi Evolution 10.

“As KCB Bank we are thrilled by the impact of our noble sponsorship in Motorsports, the level of competition and entries has tremendously gone up over the years, ” said Ms Rono.

Kajiado county Governor Joseph Ole Lenku, graced the event and flagged off Eric Bengi navigated by Tuta Mionki who were the first off the ramp.

“We are honored to host the second round of the KCB Rally championship series. Motorsports in Kenya has seen tremendous growth and we want to thank KCB Bank for being the title sponsors of this year’s championship series,” said Ole Lenku.

Series leader Onkar Singh Rai will miss out on this second round of KCB Kajiado Kenya National Rally Championship citing pressing commitments.

The three times reigning Nakuru Rally winner said in a post event interview that he already had prior commitments and as such could not take part in the event.

Onkar leads the KNRC log with 25 points ahead of defending champion Tundo who is four points adrift with former multiple champion Chager in third spot on points.

Drivers will tackle five competitive stages ahead of the prize giving ceremony later in the evening.
