Ghost however holds a different opinion; the tactician who was in charge when Stars last appeared in the AFCON in 2004 believes Kenya can earn a quarter final slot.
"Football is not logic the World Cup proved so. It all boils down to preparations and the frame of mind on the day.

Harambee Stars financial worries are over now the focus is one winning the games there is where we are. I believe second round is achievable, "he said.

Mulee, who was a keeper during his playing days believes Ulinzi Stars keeper and captain James Saruni deserves a slot in the AFCON squad.
Ethiopia based, Patrick Matasi is the current Stars first choice custodian while Bandari'd Farouk Shikalo is second choice.

Sharks' duo of John Oyemba and Brian Bwire are expected to fight for the final AFCON slot.
"Saruni of Ulinzi l also feel deserves a place at Afcon," he added.
Kenya is expected to pitch camp in France in readiness for the competition.
