Alexis Sanchez is on the verge of completing a loan move to Inter Milan; albeit on a temporary basis of 10 months, his departure was certainly way overdue.

Sanchez found himself warming the bench at Old Trafford after Jose Mourinho lost confidence in the Chilean capabilities, and nothing changing with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's entry.

According to The Athletic, Mourinho often referred to Sanchez as 'Chileno' rather than his name.

While two sources told The Athletic that Mourinho had revealed Sanchez's £560,000 per week wage package on occasion in front of teammates to force a reaction out of the player.

Antonio Conte's club and Man United agreed a loan deal for the Chilean striker and finaly made a breakthrough in negotiations with Sanchez already currently in Milan finalising medicals.

Sanchez was so desperate to find a way out of Manchester that he was willing to have his wages cut down to leave Old Trafford.

However the deal has no buyout with United holding on to the player just incase he has a brilliant season at Serie a with the likelihood of coming back to United or selling him at a high value.

For now both player and club are in agreement they would rather see their asset on the field instead of sitting in the dugout as his market value drops.

His 5 goals in 45 matches for Manchester United means that his absence will have no effect on the team to a large extent, in terms of performance.
