Ambira Boys students detained for seven days

Eight  Ambira Boys High School students, filmed insulting Cabinet Secretaries Fred Matiang’i and Amina Mohamed have been detained for seven days.

The eight students will be detained at the Ugunja Police Station to allow police conclude investigations.

The students were arraigned before before Ukwala resident magistrate Gladys Adhiambo but did not take plea.

A video of the irate learners hurling insults at CSs Fred Matiang’i and Amina Mohamed after completing KCSE exams was widely shared on social media.

In the clip, the boys said they had cheated in the exam despite the measures taken by the government to curb the same.

The eight will remain in custody at Ugunja police station until December 3 when the case will be mentioned in the same court.
