It is understood the incident was brewed after Maupay appeared to have had a hand in Bernd Leno’s knee injury that could see him side lined for weeks.
Mirror now reports Guedouzi could be facing an FA charge and potential ban ahead of his side’s meeting with Southampton.
Football Association chiefs are said to be waiting for referee Martin Atkinson’s report before deciding which action to take.
The publication added it is highly likely Guendouzi gets charged unless Atkinson says he saw the incident but decided not to take action.
The Frenchman’s possible ban will come as a massive blow to Mikel Arteta who currently has to contend with a growing number of injuries and suspensions just days after the resumption of the league.
