A Nairobi court has postponed the sentencing of rugby players Alex Olaba and Frank Wanyama, who were found guilty of raping a woman in 2018, to next Friday, August 16.
On Friday, the duo pleaded with the court to give them a non-custodial sentence arguing that they are young and were inebriated during the incident.
The duo were on Thursday found guilty of gang-raping a musician.
The woman accused the Kenya Harlequin players of raping her overnight on her birthday, February 10, 2018 at Seefa Apartments in Highrise, Nairobi.
She got pregnant after the ordeal and alleged that one of her attackers had threatened to sue her if she went public with the matter.
