February 27, 2019-A vocal Jubilee Party senator has claimed that
the war against graft cannot be won under the current leadership of Director of
Public Prosecutions (DPP), Noordin Haji and Director of Criminal Investigations
(DCI), George Kinoti.Commenting on social media on Wednesday, Kericho Senator, Aaron Cheruiyot, said Kinoti and Haji are just drama queens and they have politicized the war on corruption. The senator, who is a spanner boy of Deputy President William Ruto, said Kenya should consider hiring competent people to hold the position, adding that the two are more of 'drama queens'. “For us to win this war on corruption we need to hire an extra DPP and DCI. Competent ones who can prosecute their cases in courts. The current drama queens can be left to run the war on headlines and S. Media, where they do really well but that's just about it," Cheruiyot said The lawmaker's comments comes amid intensive crack on people believed to have engaged in graft-related activities with the latest being Sh 63 billion paid for the construction of two dams in North Rift with no tangible work on the ground. Ruto’s Chief of Staff, Ken Osinde, has been linked to the scandal.
