Friday, December 21, 2018 - Embattled Tanzanian singer, Diamond Platinumz, has hinted that he could relocate to Kenya if President Magufuli continues to make life hard for him and other musicians.
The Wasafi CEO and his crew are at loggerheads with the Tanzanian music regulatory body (BASATA) over their ‘dirty’ lyrics in their songs.
BASATA has banned Diamond from performing in and out of the country after they preformed the controversial song ‘Mwanza’ over the weekend despite being warned not to perform the song.
Speaking in a recent interview, Diamond insisted that he will go ahead with his shows in Kenya on the 26th and 31st in Kenya and revealed he is ready to move to Kenya if push comes to shove.
“Nini kitanifanyikia, sio kunifungia nyimbo, hainipunguzii kitu, mkinifungia ntaenda nje ntaiperform tu. “Kama hutoka niperform si natoka naenda country nyingine tu. “Nabaki uko naperform nyimbo zangu. Kwa sababu sharia hairuhusu, nyimbo haichezwi Tanzania, Tamaduni kama Kenya zinaruhusu mwanifungwa kwa sababu gani sasa? “Mwataka mimi nife na njaa? Tiffah watamnunulia diapers?” he said. The Kenyan DAILY POST
