Several people have been trapped following the collapse of a flyover under construction in Nairobi’s Kangemi.
Reports also indicate that four people working on the construction have been rescued from the debris.
Eyewitnesses say that the workers on the lower side of the flyover were buried in the sand after one of the pillars and a wall collapsed.
Rescue operations are currently underway.
The incident has caused a huge traffic snarl up along Waiyaki Way with motorists being advised to use different routes.
