Kenyan Premier League champions Gor Mahia have been pooled in the same group stage with Egyptians giants Zamalek FC for the Confedarations Cup of Africa.
Gor secured their place in the group stage after beating New Stars from Cameroun an aggregate of 2-1 to advance
The first leg will be held on February 3 with Gor Mahia going against 5 time’s African champions Zamalek when they host them in Nairobi while on February 13 they will travel to Angola to face Petro Atletico for their second match
The Kenyan champions are also in the same group with Atletico Petroles from Angola and NA Hussein Day from Algeria in what is expected to be a tough group.
Qualification for the group stage has seen Gor Mahia bag Ksh 27 million and when they reach quarterfinals they will bag Ksh 35 million
