- The Solskjaer-tutored side currently sit eighth on the log with five points

- Maguire believes United's sloppiness is to blame for the club's poor form

Man United new signing Harry Maguire has urged his teammates to “show more arrogance and be confident on the ball” following the side's 1-1 frustrating draw to Southampton at the weekend.

United have dropped points in three of their last four matches, with their only victory of the new season coming against Chelsea.

The Old Trafford dwellers has since dropped points against Wolves, Crystal Palace and Southampton, collecting just two points from the three fixtures.

The woeful form has seen United boss, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, come under immense pressure as the side now sit eighth with five points on the log.

Maguire has now come out to admit the Red Devils were sloppy and need to improve after the Southampton stalemate.

“We were too sloppy and we need to improve on that and show arrogance and be confident on the ball," SunSport quoted the Englishman.
"We’re Man United - we want to control games. There were spells where we didn’t control the game, and we got punished," he added.

The Manchester outfit will now be seeking to bounce back to winning ways when they host Leicester in their next Premier League clash.
