Monday November 26, 2018 - A flamboyant Women Representative from Central Kenya has refused to speak at a public lecture in London after being invited by former US First Lady, Michelle Obama. Kirinyaga Women Representative, Purity Ngirici, was invited by Michelle Obama to speak at a public ceremony to be held in London between December 9^th and 10^th. Ngirici was to speak at Oxford and Cambridge Universities together with Hillary Rodham Clinton and Oprah Winfrey. However, according to Ngirici she refused the offer because she had other engagements in her County. "I received the invitation but I cancelled plans to attend the lecture early this month. This is a decision I made because of unavoidable circumstances that relate to family. I don't even know how such information found its way to the public," she said on Monday.
