A distressed Kenyan took to Twitter to narrate the story of how Mwananchi Credit Limited has been plotting to grab their land after their father passed on. In the long thread she explained how they had been involved in constant battles with the company including a court case.
A THREAD about how @mwananchi_LTD is Grabbing our land.
Dad left us land in Eastleigh, section II, fifth street LR No. 36/2/321 worth over 20m. It was leased a source of revenue for my moms. On Friday -30th Nov, @mwananchi_LTD forcefully evicted tenants from the premise.— Gichuki (@RakeliMumbi) December 2, 2018
He said, didn’t have it, hadn’t seen it, yet he was there overseeing the eviction. Anyway, since July 2018 when we knew one of my step bro had SUPPOSEDLY taken a “loan” from @mwananchi_LTD against the piece of land, we proceeded to file a caution on the land.

Before Senior Principal Magistrate Hon. G. A. Mmasi (MRS). Upon perusing the file, we were surprised to learn that my bro claimed to have my late Dad’s power of attorney (false) and to be an administrator of my father’s estate (false).

The Court documents demonstrate that Senior Principal Magistrate Hon. G. A. Mmasi (MRS), is part of this charade to disinherit my family. The documents filed by my brother (the Plaintiff) and the Defendant are very shoddy. Kangaroo court exemplified @dkmaraga

Tomorrow, early morning they go back to the Kangaroo court for God knows what orders. @dkmaraga please, how do we rein in on this magistrate trying to sanitize a land grab in broad daylight?

@Faridakaroney please take a personal interest in this issue and help us find the file from the relevant registry. @DCI_Kenya @bonifacemwangi @OleItumbi @okothkenneth @CofekRebranded @NPSOfficial_KE @obudsman @Coll_Odhiambo @EACCKenya @dkmaraga @mwananchi_LTD
