Blinky Bill just dropped the video of one of the biggest song in his album ‘Mungu Halali’ and Kenyans are in love with the reality of the lyrics.

Sarah, Wambui,  Lisa and Sage are part of the strong female vocals who came in to work with Blinky. So why did he decided to show us the spiritual side of him?

It was a combination of many things. I grew up in a family of religious people but i question a lot of mainstream religion plus I am spiritual. I am glad people are resonating with it because the last few years in Kenya have been tough so this is just a song of encouragement to Kenyans just to let them know it’s going to be okay

The video of ‘Mungu Halali’ has real-life images which we can all relate to and he said he worked with one of his close friends and ex Just A Band member, Mbithi.

i worked with mbithi an ex just a band member and he came up with the scenes. you can see my mum and dad and the streets which was all because we wanted to make it real

Blinky Bill started his music career in high school where he attended school with Nonini and heavy producer Musyoka.

i went to school with nonini where i was prefect and nonini was always on the noisemakers list but i made up the snitching with the song makmende where we worked together

He continued to open up to Adelle and Shaffie on Breakfast with the stars saying:

in school is when he started his interest in music. i would write music and i was surrounded by musicians, kina musyoka in high school. he would always be drumming in class and he was a rapper

Being in school with such big deals in the music game he says was amazing, because he grew up admiring and learning from them. But he has two things he wished he would have done that he didn’t back in school

one thing i would tell blinky in high school is, love physics. i dropped music in high school because the teacher was boring. now i use things that i would have learned in physics . things will always work out. physics was just hard. i didn’t feel like there was any sense to it then and now as a sound producer, i need it.

Despite the fact that he is an amazing artsite, it comes with its challenges now that he has brought in something new.

worst moment in his life as an artiste is the frustration of starting something new .people don’t get it and they think I am mad. I have beaten myself up saying I am not good enough but I have come to understand new ideas take time.

Blinky finished saying, his new album has new different feels of music in every song. That’s just who he is.
