Joho's barber Dufanda says Juma Jux and Ommy Dimples most difficult clients

Ali Hassan Joho’s barber has become the go-to hair snipper for many male celebrities.

The 23-year-old who is called George Dufanda is from Kinsasha, Congo and has made a name for himself.

With Joho reportedly paying as much as Ksh. 10,000 for a haircut, business is booming for George. We spoke to him at Nandy’s album launch and he gave us some interesting anecdotes about his life.

He noted that he isn’t just the best barber in Kenya but also in Africa. He confirmed the claim that Joho had indeed paid him $100 for a session!

Other celebrities that he has worked with are Victor Wanyama, Macdonald Mariga, Juma Jux, Romy Jones, Nandy and Diamond Platnumz.

What about him makes him unique?

My style maybe…I have got this artistic hand that when I touch you, you love it.

He said that he is talented because he was an artist in school and that he has been able to parlay that skill into his career.

And who had been the toughest celeb he had worked with? He responded saying that he felt like Juma Jux and Ommy Dimpoz had been very difficult.

He says the reason might be that the two love themselves ‘too much’. He added that the two stars are very particular and do not like mistakes where their hair is concerned.

Has any celeb complained about his work?

Dufanda said that so far his record had been spotless and that despite Juma Jux being difficult to work with, the rapper appreciates the work he does.

George also disclosed that the best celeb he had worked with was his dad. George is very ambitious and says that he wants to branch out with barbershops around the country.

Another thing he wants to do is possibly start a beauty college.
