Kenyans React After Government Withdraws Dedan Kimathi’s Widow Security Detail & Driver

On Wednesday the family of freedom fighter Dedan Kimathi protested the government’s decision to withdraw his widow’s Mukami Kimathi’s security detail and driver without notice.

The family said that there was no official communication from the government before the withdrawal.

Kenyans on social media were quick to react to the developing story with a lot of them supporting the government’s move to withdraw the widow’s security detail saying that nobody was after the old lady’s life hence the security was highly unnecessary.

Why does she need security detail from the govt for? Is she under any threat? Are the families of the other freedom fighters accorded the same?

Good or bad move; quite indifferent.

Her being given security is not safeguarding anything that would add value to our economy.
