Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen has once again launched a scathing attack on the Director of Criminal Investigations, George Kinoti, questioning his ability to investigate complex crimes.
The Senate Majority Leader attacked the DCI after he posted a list of vehicle registration numbers asking owners or any other Kenyan who may have seen any of them to report to the nearest police station.

In a rejoinder, Murkomen expressed concern how the DCI was relying on Twitter to establish ownership of vehicles when at the same time it's investigating complex matters of syndicated loans.
Although, he did not refer to any particular loans, TUKO.co.ke understands the senator was referring to the ongoing probe on the KSh 21 billion Kimwarer and Arror dam projects which were financed by Italian government.
However, smart thinking Kenyans could not let the senator get away with his comment with many questioning why he seemed worried about the way the DCI was relying on Twitter for information.

However, it's not the first time the legislator has questioned the ability of the DCI given his continued attack and even at one point he asked to be awarded for criticising the investigating agency citing it had some inabilities in complex cases.
Murkomen has also been vocal in accusing the DCI of being used by politicians with the aim of frustrating Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential ambitions.
However, there are some Kenyans who were in support of Murkomen with others arguing the DCI was only making the post for purposes of populism and instead they should have submitted the vehicle details to the registration agencies to know their owners.
