Kenya Rugby Union CEO Slyvia Kamau has refuted claims that the union is yet to agree on a return to work formula with Senior Shujaa Players following a meeting between the two parties.

She reassured rugby fans that the players will be part of the squad that leaves the country later this month, as the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series resumes in Hong Kong on the 5th – 7th of April.

After missing the first six legs of the 2018/19 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, Senior Shujaa Players are expected to boost the team’s hopes of qualifying for their first main cup quarter-final this season when the series gets back underway in Hong Kong next month.

Meanwhile Kenya Cup side Mwamba RFC has renewed its shirt sponsorship deal with Stanbic Bank.

The deal, which runs until 2020, also saw the side unveil their 2019 playing kit in conjunction with Australian Sportswear Firm, BLK.

Mwamba, currently 5th on the standings on 38 points, will come up against champions tomorrow in the Bankers Derby.

In among other matches scheduled for Saturday afternoon, Kenya Harlequins and Homeboyz clash at the RFUEA Grounds, leaders Kabras away to Nakuru RFC, while Strathmore Leos face off against Impala at the Impala grounds.
