Matatus ordered to reduce fare prices after fuel prices reduced

Nairobi residents have condemned matatu operators in the CBD for failuring to adjust the fare prices even after the recent drop in fuel prices.

According to Matatu Operators Association chairman Jimal Ibrahim, the recent announcement by the government reducing fuel prices is an indicator that even far prices should have gone down.

Jimal has requested MOA members  to adjust fare prices in accordance with the fuel prices while  issuing a stern warning to all the members who will fail to adjust the fare prices saying that action will be taken against them.

A spot check by Ghetto Radio revealed that  some of the matatu saccos have already adjusted the fare prices except  saccos plying areas like Kasarani,Uthiru,Embakasi,Kariobangi and Kikuyu.
