Mombasa singer Chikuzee denies bleaching claims, says peaceful marriage giving him light complexion ▷ Kenya News

Sensational Mombasa musician Chikuku Abdhalla, AKA Chikuzee has strongly refuted claims that he bleached his skin to attain his present complexion.

The Si Vibaya Kujuana hitmaker told off people who claim he bleaches his skin, and urged them to try his 'tricks' and maybe they will be like him instead of judging without proof.

In a phone interview with TUKO.co.ke, the singer claimed his marriage is to be lauded for his change of colour as it has given him nothing but peace.

According to the musician, his light complexion is as a result of his wife's tender care and affection.

''Why would I bleach myself? People will just talk but I am happy my wife takes good care of me. Things changed after getting her, my marriage makes me happy,'' Chiku said.

''Besides, unlike most people, I do not move around and get hit by the sun, I am comfortable indoors and restrict my contact with the sun. Let them try that and they will see the result,'' he added.

The singer's clarification came just hours after he made the same revelation in an interview with a Mombasa-based radio station.

Chiku was recently swimming in the murky waters of controversy after a cross section of his fans started accusing him of bleaching his skin.

According to them, the singer was a little bit light a couple of months ago but the intensity multiplied recently leaving many with questions on whether he bleaches or not.
