Motorists using petrol are set to dig deeper in their pockets after a review of fuel prices saw the commodity's price increase by KSh 0.29 per liter.
Petrol which has been retailing at KSh 115.10 will now be sold to motorists at KSh 115.39. This emerged when Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) announced new rates on Sunday, July 14.
Relief will, however, be felt by diesel and kerosene users whose prices went down by KSh 0.88 and KSh 2.31 respectively.
This means a liter of diesel at the pump will cost KSh 103.88 while kerosene will be sold at KSh 101.97
“The changes in this month’s prices have been as a consequence of the average landed cost of imported super petrol decreasing by 1.83% from KSh 55,469.46 per cubic metre in May 2019 to KSh 54,384.37,” read the statement a statement by EPRA.
In, Nairobi petrol will be sold at KSh 115.39, Nakuru (115.86) and Mombasa (KSh 112.74)
