Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has claimed that his life is in danger.

Speaking in Parliament on Thursday, the legislator said that he has reported the threats to,Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Director George Kinoti while calling on politicians to tone down on their rhetoric and concentrate on service delivery.

“To those who might have wanted to exploit this crisis for selfish objectives I also urge you to go back and work for our people. I trust that this will put an end to the threats to my life, details which I have already shared with DCI George Kinoti, a man whose capabilities and patriotism is unmatched and who is doing everything possible to investigate the same,” said Kuria in an uncharacteristic composed manner.

This comes two days after the legislator fired back at the Head of State after the former had accused his party leader of neglecting Central Kenya while dishing out development projects.

On Tuesday, President Kenyatta while launching the Mombasa Waterfront Development Project dismissed Kuria and other leaders in the underdevelopment jibe as ‘washenzi’ which means fools saying that the Jubilee Administration is bound by law to serve all Kenyans equally.

The lost love between Kuria and President Kenyatta first surfaced last week during a New Year’s Party at the Thika Stadium when Kuria launched a scathing attack on Uhuru over the development projects.

“In 2019 Mt Kenya voters ought to think long and hard. We can’t be casting our votes while goodies are dished elsewhere. We must stop this nonsense. The other day we launched a road in Kisumu but when the President comes to Kiambu he only issues recovering alcoholics with NACADA certificates. He must cease taking us for a ride,” charged the Gatundu South MP.
