Kariobangi Sharks coach William Muluya says the anxiety of winning after six games got best of his side and forgot very little details.
Sharks lastly tasted victory on March 13th after beating Nzoia 1-0 thanks to Eric Kapaito's first half striker. Since then, the club has gone for seven matches without a win. Muluya's men came close to picking up maximum points as George Abege had put them ahead against Sofapaka. However, Umaru Kasumba's late strike broke their hearts as the two sides settled for a 1-1 draw.
"It was too near yet too far, that is what I would say. I think the anxiety of winning after six games were so much into them that we forget very little details. But they give it all, trying their best and we were a bit unlucky because we made substitutions into injuries, all three subs," said Muluya.
Late conceding
"Actually, as much as they say the best way of defending is attacking but we had already attacked in the first half and the second half it was all about psychological issues," he added.
Sharks' next assignment will be against AFC Leopards on April 24, 2019, at MISC, Kasarani.
