On-form Congolese attacker Yema Mwana bagged a double as Bandari mill Chemelil Sugar 3-1, move to 55 points, one shy of second-placed Sofapaka.

The Dockers came into the match on the back of a disappointing barren draw against struggling Posta Rangers, and looked like they were in for another difficult outing when the visitors took the lead just eight minutes into the match from the penalty spot.

Bernard Mwalala’s boys responded eleven minutes later through  Mwana who notched Shaban Kenga’s header to draw the game back for the hosts.

Bandari were then awarded a penalty in the 32nd minute when Mpombe Samuel hand-blocked Kenga’s cross, and  David Kingatua made no mistake in converting the resulting penalty.

Chemelil came back strong with early attacks in the second half but their attempts ended up in Farouk Shikhalo’s hands who denied Adeyefa Junior two open chances.

Mwana completed his brace and Bandari’s third in 71st minute, slotting home a rebound from Benjamin Mosha’s shot blocked by  Alube Morgan.
The dockers will tackle Tusker FC in their next game on Thursday at Mbaraki.
