- Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Man United have just one defeat to equal the club's worst run in a season

- The first time the club set the record of losing five out of six matches was in 1992 under Sir Alex Ferguson

- A defeat for them in this weekend's Premier League encounter against West Ham will see them equal the 27-year-old record

Manchester United will hope they can bounce back to winning ways when they welcome West Ham United to Old Trafford this weekend.

The Red Devils have suffered four defeats in their last five matches in all competitions ahead of their Premier League encounter against the Hammers.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men could record their worst ever run since the 1992 season if they lose to Manuel Pellegrini at the end of the game tomorrow.

A defeat for them after the game will see them equal the worst ever record by the club under Sir Alex Ferguson in 1992, before the Premier League was created.

SunSport reports that the only way United can prevent their worst run in 26 years is to avoid defeat against 11th placed West Ham.

Solskjaer's men will also be hoping they can avenge their 3-1 defeat to the Hammers at the London Stadium in September 2018.

A goal each from Felipe Anderson and Marco Arnautovic as well as a Victor Lindelof own-goal saw West Ham cart all three points away after the match.

TUKO.co.ke earlier reported that Barcelona are one leg through to the semifinals of this season's Champions League following their slim victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Catalans took the lead through an own goal from Luke Shaw who deflected Luis Suarez's header into his side's net in the 12 minute.

Marcus Rashford tried restoring parity for the Red Devils almost immediately after conceding their first goal but his efforts was intercepted by the visitors defenders.
