Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has taken a swipe on Paul Pogba for playing sloppy passes during the club's 1-1 draw against Southampton at St Mary’s on Saturday, August 31.

The Old Trafford dwellers opened the scoring within 10 minutes of play via Daniel James, before Jannik Vestergaard’s equaliser late in the second half.

It appeared as though United would nick it after Kevin Danso was dismissed in the 73rd minute, but failed to hold on to claim maximum points.

Solskjaer has now come out to criticise Pogba for failing to create enough chances, admitting the Frenchman was not at his best.

"I think we as a team after about half-an-hour started giving sloppy balls away and Paul was one of them. He wasn’t any different to anyone else,’ Solskjaer said post-match," Solskjaer said.
"We as a team didn’t play well but in the last 20 minutes or half-an-hour, he did create loads for us going forward. Everyone expects everything from him every game" the Norwegian submitted.

Pogba has found himself on the receiving end just four matches into the new season, often coming under sharp criticism from fans.

The former Juventus was blamed for United's 1-1 draw against Wolves at Molineux in matchweek two after missing a crucial penalty.

Meanwhile, the result at St Marys means United have now gone three matches without a win, despite starting the season brightly with a 4-0 win over Chelsea in their campaign opener.
