Kenya’s renowned public health professor Dr. Miriam Were has been nominated for the 2022 Nobel Peace Prize. Professor Miriam Were was nominated by the American Friends Service Committee and Quaker Peace and Social Witness. Speaking on phone with KBC Channel 1, Prof. Were said she is excited that her efforts have been recognized globally.
