- Saturday, July 11, 2020, will mark 10 years since terrorists bombed two separate venues in Uganda; an incident that claimed lives of over 70 people and injured dozens

- Two months before the attack, Ugandan preacher Elvis Mbonye asked his congregants to commit the country in prayers after having a vision of a terror attack

- The preacher who is president and founder of Zoe Ministries also predicted a crash that involved an aircraft of the Ugandan army and had tried to warn authorities against the mission

- Mbonye also claimed he foretold the victory of presidents Donald Trump (US), Uhuru Kenyatta (Kenya) and Tanzania's John Pombe Magufuli

July 11, 2010, was a sombre day in Uganda after terrorists descended on the country and killed dozens in a twin bombing event.

It was 10 years ago but it still feels like it was just yesterday. Billions of people had gathered across the globe before their screens to watch and cheer on their favourite footballers and countries battle for one cup, the FIFA world cup.

Pomp and color, wild celebrations and excitement filled the air in South Africa and it trickled across the world even to Uganda.

The mood, however, took a turn for the worst in Uganda.

Terrorists had planned a blood birth and twin bombed crowds at two separate venues leaving 74 people dead and close to 100 others seriously injured.

It is now emerging that a man identified as Elvis Mbonye foretold this rather unfortunate event.

Popularly addressed as Prophet Elvis Mbonye by his thousands of followers, he is the president and founder of Zoe Ministries.

In a video released last week by the ministry, some survivors come out in public confessing their regrets at not taking the warning seriously while others gave detailed accounts and memories of the dark day.

"I am sure there was a bit of a covering because of the prayer. I am also sure that if the fellowship had been more understanding of what the prophetic entails, the covering grace and all, maybe we could have taken it a bit more seriously than we did then," narrated Jospeh Kabuleta a celebrated top journalist now turned end-time preacher in Uganda.

Zoe Ministries is a congregation that prides itself as the biggest church in Uganda pulling close to 8,000 people every Tuesday evening in Kampala Uganda.

Billionaire Mbonye, some two months before the bombings happened, during a conference, had asked attendees to pray against a terrorist attack that he had seen in a vision.

Mbonye does not carry and use the title of Prophet casually. Word on the ground is that he gives prophecies every Tuesday after he concludes preaching and the testimonies of his thousands of followers are that no words of his falls to the ground.

In January 2018, he accurately predicted the Oscar awards even before the nominations had been released. You can watch the video.

Asked what Oscars were to do with God, he answered ‘to show that God is Lord even over Hollywood’

He has accurately predicted Hillary Clinton losing to Donald Trump in the US, Uhuru Kenyatta presidential win in Kenya and John Pombe Magafuli's presidential win in Tanzania among many other predictions which have played out as he claimed he had seen.

However, perhaps one of the most outstanding events that he foretold was the Ugandan military chopper crash.

It is said that all efforts were made to warn the government and the army to turn back from the decision of sending the choppers on a mission to Somali but the warnings were ignored. You can watch the choppers prophecy of 2012 in the video below.

After all these events and warnings, one cannot help but wonder, would things have played out differently if this man was listened to? Should he be taken seriously? Be the judge.
