Senator Isaac Mwaura and his wife Nelius Mukami marked their fifth wedding anniversary on Saturday, June 27.
The couple’s convoy was stopped by onlookers along the Nairobi Northern Bypass who took photos of the two lovebirds as they stood through the sunroof of an SUV.

It brought business to a standstill at Kahawa West roundabout before snaking it’s way to Kiambu Road and onto Evergreen park - the wedding reception venue, for a photoshoot.
The couple renewed their marriage vows and Mwaura gave Mukami a new ring to signify the five years.
Sharing some of the photos on his Facebook page, Mwaura said they were recreating their wedding day at the place they had their reception.

They were wearing the same attires they did on their wedding (five years ago) and happy to have their young son Njiru, who Mwaura described as "the fruit of our union."
"Moments of rekindling our memories of 5 years ago when Mukami and I said I do. We celebrated the anniversary by retracing our footsteps to Evergreen Park, the venue of our wedding reception. Clad in our wedding outfits and amazed that they still fit albeit perfectly we were happy to be in the company of our son Njiru, the fruit of our union. Thanks to all who cheered us on the way, family and friends," Mwaura wrote.

After the photoshoot, the senator threw a surprise bash for Mukami that was attended by close friends and relatives including Murang’a Senator Irungu Kang’ata, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, Nyeri Speaker of County Assembly John Kagucia.

The legislator also celebrated their fifth anniversary in a sweet message on social media with a photo of the couple posing with President Kenyatta.
Mwaura narrated the challenges they have been through in their marriage and said they have been able to overcome them through faith In God.
