Friday March 1, 2019-Sports Cabinet Secretary, Rashid Echesa, has finally broken his silence over alleged friendship with one of President Uhuru Kenyatta's impersonator, Joseph Waswa, alias, Henry Waswa.

Speaking yesterday, Echesa admitted that Waswa, who was charged alongside six others of defrauding businessman off Kshs 10 million using Uhuru's name and voice, was his personal friend but refuted claims that they were business partners. “Waswa is a friend to many politicians, including myself but he is not a business partner.” “What is wrong with me being a friend to somebody? Does that mean I involve myself in everything he does? After all, Waswa is a friend to several high-ranking politicians in this country,” Echesa said. Echesa further accused his political rivals of driving propaganda against him to further their own personal vendetta vowing to take legal action. “I will sue anyone who accuses me of money laundering,” he continued. This is after his personal friend, Waswa, was also linked to an alleged Kshs 32 billion fake currency and fake gold which was nabbed at a house in Ruiru, Nairobi.
