The Kenya National Sevens Rugby team– Shujaa has dropped to the Challenge Trophy in the on-going 5th Leg of the 2018/19 HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series in Las Vegas, after losing their first two pool matches to USA and France.
Shujaa got off their campaign on the wrong foot, going down 26-10 to hosts USA at the Sam Boyd Stadium.
Carlin Isles put the hosts ahead with two successive tries but missed one conversion.
Despite Jacob Ojee’s try before half time getting Shujaa back into the game, further tries from Stephen Tomasin and Madison Hughes extended USA’s lead in the 2nd half, before Vincent Onyala pulled one back for Shujaa with the last try of the game.
