Siaya Senator has received backlash from social media users after hyping his participation in a church fundraiser in his backyard over the weekend.

Kenyans who reacted on the Senator's post felt the celebrated senior counsel was being hypocritical since he was on record opposing church donations and has been criticising Deputy President William Ruto for such acts.

The long serving politician shared a post on his Twitter handle on Sunday, April 28, expressing how he was happy to have taken part in a church fundraiser at Rang'ala Catholic Church shortly after Mass.

"After a Holy Mass at Rang'ala Catholic Church, I joined the faithfuls in a fundraiser in aid of renovations and face-lifting of the church. The church is preparing Centenary celebrations,"tweeted Orengo

This tweet did not go down well with a good number of Kenyans On Twitter (KOT) who seized the opportunity to castigated the Opposition legislator of being hypocritical in his utterances and actions.
