National soccer team Harambee Starlets will face Tanzania Monday evening in the final match of the 2019 CECAFA Women tournament at the Azam Sports Complex, Chamazi.
The Kenyan team coached by David Ouma qualified for the finals after thrashing Burundi 5-0 in semis while Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Queens sailed through after beating rivals Uganda 1-0.
At he sametiem, Coach Ouma has named the starting lineup for the CECAFA final match.
Mercy Airo is off from suspension and will replace Siliya Lumasia in the starting team with the help of Mwanalima Adam and Janet Bundi at the forefront.

Team Captain,Dorcas Shikobe, will man the defense with assistance from Nelly Sawe,Ruth Ingosi and Vivian Nasaka as Annette Kundu will protect the goal area.

Elsewhere, the Harambee Starlets, has been nominated in the Women National team of the year category of the 2019 CAF Awards.
Coach David Ouma has also been shortlisted in the Women’s coach of the year category of the annual awards, whose ceremony will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Citadel Azure, Hurghada, Egypt.
The recognition comes amid Starlets’ outstanding performance in the Olympics Qualifiers where they only dropped out in the fourth round at the hands of Zambia.
Meanwhile, Kenya has been pooled in Group C of the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup scheduled to take place between 7th and 19 of next month in Uganda.
Other teams in the group include Tanzania, Djibouti, and Zanzibar.
Hosts Uganda is in Group A alongside Burundi, Ethiopia, and Eritrea. Group ‘B’ consists of guest Democratic Republic of the Congo Sudan, South Sudan, and Somalia.
