Flamboyant Nairobi lawyer Donald Kipkorir has been exposed as a fraud and imposter who extorts money from people under pretext that he will help them escape investigation and prosecution, mostly in corruption related cases.
In what may result in Kipkorir being struck off the roll of advocates, Kenyan News Day learnt the proud lawyer, who leads a lavish lifestyle, had been outed by several of his victims who have since decided to go public.
Over the last few months, we received several anonymous complaints via our confidential email (tips(at)Kenyannewsday.com) which our editors are still verifying to ascertain their authenticity.
Among Kipkorir’s victims are prominent politicians and business persons facing a myriad of legal challenges who have been forced to part with millions of shillings in the false belief that Kipkorir would use his networks with senior state security officials to call off investigations and end cases against them.
Falsely passing himself off as a fixer, Kipkorir has conned several individuals hundreds of millions in protection money by purporting to be close friends with Director of Criminal Investigation George Kinoti and his counterpart in Public Prosecution Noordin Haji.
A source that has been tracking KTK Advocates since formation twenty years ago told Kenyan News Day that it was a matter of time before Kipkorir’s carefully built professional image came tumbling down like a house of cards.
As managing partner at the Nairobi based KTK Advocates, the Don as he is popularly known, has made a habit of announcing how his practice had won dubious international awards.
He also had become obsessed with maintaining a lifestyle far beyond his means and was fraudulently extorting his informal clients to maintain this expensive way of life.
In one of Kipkorir’s latest scams, Kenyan News Day learnt, Kipkorir pulled a multi-million deal at state institution that would leave the tax payer holding the wrong end of the stick.
Because of his social media habit to flaunt with pictures taken with the high and mighty, many Kenyans mistakenly assume Kipkorir is well connected but the truth is, the man is hardly who he claims to be in public.
In the coming days, Kenyan News Day shall be publishing a damning and well researched exposè on the fraudulent activities of Donald Kipkorir.
