These photos of Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck recovering from a broken ankle show he will come back stronger

Danny Welbeck looks to be making the most of his recovery from injury.

The Arsenal striker broke his right ankle against Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League in November.

He has since had two operations on his foot and is expected to miss the rest of the campaign.

Welbeck posted photos on Twitter of him walking in a swimming pool with the caption: ‘The joys of rehab.’

The Arsenal forward smiled for the camera and looked to be enjoying himself.

The 28-year-old is unlikely to play for the club again as his contract expires at the end of the season.

The Gunners striker will have to watch his side from home on Saturday as Unai Emery’s side take on Blackpool in the third round of the FA Cup.
