DAILY POST: This is what killed legendary rapper, KANTAI, family member reveals, May his soul rest in peace. Entertainment News 09:38 Friday, March 1, 2019-Kenya’s showbiz industry is in mourning after the death of legendary rapper Kantai.
Kantai, known for his mega hit Happy featuring STL, died at St Francis Hospital in Kasarani where he was rushed after his health condition worsened. A close family member  of  Kantai has revealed that he has been battling depression, ulcers and blood pressure. He  reveals there are times that Kantai would lock himself in the house and refuse to eat or talk to anyone. “There were days he would lock himself in the house and not eat. He struggled a lot with depression. He has been unwell for a long time now. Depression, ulcers and pressures that come with life got to him.” The family member says. Kantai became an alcoholic after music frustrated him. There are times he would sell  house-hold items just to get money to buy cheap liquor.

The 42 year old rapper is survived by a wife and a kid. May his soul rest in peace.
