Two Cuban doctors have been abducted by suspected Al Shabaab militants in Mandera
A police officer attached to guard the two was shot dead by the militants who drove off with the medics.
Witnesses reports say that the militants crossed over to Somalia with their captives however local authorities maintain that the militants are still within the country.
The doctors,Landy Rodriguez (a surgeon) and Herera Correa (general practitioner are among 100 Cuban specialists who arrived in the country in June 2018.
