Uhuru spotted with daughter Ngina in Namibia during country’s Independence Day

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday, March 21, morning jetted out of the country to join the people of Namibia in celebrating their 29th independence anniversary.

Accompanying the president to Namibia for the state visit was his dazzling and happy-looking daughter Ngina Kenyatta.

Uhuru who TUKO.co.ke understands was the guest of honour at the special ceremony was spotted standing next to his daughter Ngina at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek, Namibia, with smiles on their faces.

“President Uhuru Kenyatta arrived at the Independence Stadium in Windhoek to join the people of Namibia for celebrations to mark 29 years of their country’s independence,” State House Kenya confirmed the state visit through Twitter.

It is understood the president of Namibia, Hage Gottfried Geingob, had invited his Kenyan counterpart to attend the function as the guest of honour.

Uhuru responded in kind and as as a way of returning the favour after President Geingob also joined Kenyans during the Mashujaa Day Celebrations on October 20, 2018.

Just like Uhuru, the Namibian head of state was the guest of honour during the Kenyan Independence Day celebrations which took place in Kakamega county.

Kenya and Namibia enjoy what can be described as an excellent bilateral ties dating back to 1990s when the two nations established diplomatic relations.

During the state visit, Uhuru is expected to discuss with his Namibian colleague bilateral relations and also deepen cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions are expected to revolve around transport, fisheries and marine resources, trade and commerce, information communication technology, agriculture among other areas.
