DAILY POST: UHURU's man wants CS ROTICH sacked for mismanaging the economy – He is illiterate on financial matters Politics 01:36 Thursday November 29, 2018-A vocal Jubilee Party senator has asked for the sacking of Treasury Cabinet Secretary, Henry Rotich, for mismanaging the economy.
Appearing on Citizen TV on Thursday, nominated Senator, Isaac Mwaura, said Rotich has proved to be illiterate and he should be sacked for misleading Kenyans on financial matters. Mwaura said during former President Mwai Kibaki’s tenure the economy was performing well but Rotich messed everything when he took over the Treasury. “When President Kibaki left office, we were raising 96% of our revenue and borrowing only 4% but at the moment the country is borrowing much more. I think it was wrong to appoint CS Rotich in the finance ministry,” said Mwaura. Mwaura's sentiments come two weeks after Kimilili MP , Didmus Barasa, filed a motion in parliament asking for impeachment of Rotich over what he termed as gross misconduct and incompetence.
