It’s a full house at the national women’s volleyball team training camp at Kasarani indoor gymnasium following the arrival of Seychelles based setter Jane Wacu.

The talented setter linked up with rest on Thursday as ‘Malkia Strikers’ stepped up training ahead of the Africa women’s Zone five All Africa games qualifiers slated for 18th -24th of this month in Uganda.

Wacu who plies her trade with Seychelles top side Anse Royale is expected to add the required depth in the squad ahead of the qualifiers.

However, she must be in tip-top shape to make the final cut as the setters position has veteran  Janet Wanja, fast-rising Kenya Prisons setter Joy Lusenaka and youngster Esther Mutinda all eyeing the two available slots.

The provisional squad of 20 players is currently training under the watchful eye of veteran tactician Japheth Munala and Josp Baraza.

Munala is adamant the former African queens will put up a brave fight in Uganda.

The side will face perennial nemesis Egypt, Uganda, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Tanzania in their quest to bag the sole ticket to the All Africa games.

The 12th edition of the All Africa games will be held from 19th to 31st August in Rabat, Morocco.
