Ruto warned that the government will not allow its detractors to weaponize the war against corruption as a means of settling political scores ahead of the 2022 general election.

Ruto maintained that no money had been lost in the Kimwarer and Arror dam projects adding that the government will carry on with the construction of dams across the country to ensure provision of water to the general public.

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has launched a probe into claims that some state officials connected to the Kimwarer and Arror dam projects may have accepted bribes.

Bishop Antony Muheria said corruption threatens ethical values and destabilizes our social fabric and so there is a need for a change in mindset to fight this vice.
