81 Kenyan health workers infected with Coronavirus – KBC

81 health workers have been infected with Covid-19 across the country.

The Kenya Medical Practitioners Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) Secretary-General Dr Chibanzi Mwachonda says 60 per cent of the infections are workplace-related.

Majority of the health workers contracted coronavirus at quarantine centres and hospitals after coming into contact with infected patients.

Mombasa County has the highest number of infected health workers at 41 followed by Kiambu with four cases.

Machakos, Laikipia and Kajiado counties have each reported one case.
